Haunted Words Press is a literary magazine publishing tales of the gothic, the peculiar, and the downright spooky for middle grade and young adult readers.

Since our beginning in April 2022, we’ve published five digital themed issues and two print collections. Each publication is filled with short stories, flash fiction, poetry, and visual art from our talented, international contributors. Spanning nineteen countries and one hundred and one contributors of strange and magical work, Haunted Words is just beginning in its publishing journey, and has much more to come.

Haunted Words Press was founded by Halle Merrick, who currently acts as the editor, content creator, and manager of the press.
